Verdant ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
We designed Verdant to keep your data on your device. We do not require an account to use the app.
Data stored on your device. Tasks, projects, notes, due dates, completion history, and preferences are stored locally using Apple's SwiftData and, if you enable iCloud Sync, in your private iCloud account. We do not have access to this data.
Data sent to our AI provider. When you use the AI Assistant, the prompt you submit (which may include the text of tasks you choose to share with the AI) is sent to our AI provider, Google Gemini, solely to generate a response. We do not store these prompts on our servers.
Diagnostic data. If you opt in to share analytics with Apple at the system level, Apple may share aggregated, anonymized crash reports with us. We do not collect any other analytics.
Purchase data. In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We receive a confirmation that your subscription is active but do not receive your payment information.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or precise location.
- We do not use third-party advertising networks or trackers.
- We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We do not build advertising profiles.
3. Children
Verdant is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
4. Your Choices
You can delete all locally stored data at any time by deleting the app. If iCloud Sync is enabled, you can manage or remove that data from your iCloud account in iOS Settings.
5. Data Retention
Because we do not collect personal information server-side, there is nothing for us to retain. AI prompts are processed in real time and not retained by us.
6. Security
Network requests to the AI provider are sent over HTTPS. Local data is protected by iOS data protection. iCloud-synced data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple.
7. International Users
By using the app, you acknowledge that the AI provider may process your AI prompts on servers located outside your country.
8. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date.
